Bob Steckler serves as Trellis Arch’s Vice-President and is a business executive with over 35 years experience who is comfortable in the executive boardroom as well as in the woods, on the water or under water, maybe even more so. Bob is a family man who has a wonderful wife, 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
He has worked with Shopko, Gander Mountain, Dick’s Sporting Goods and May Company Department Stores over his executive retail career.
Bob was a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America working at the Florida Sea Base High Adventure camp in the Florida Keys as a SCUBA Dive Master. In that position, Bob was responsible for leading and guiding Boy Scouts on over 200 dives, as well as instructing reef conservation, underwater navigation, night diving and other specialty diving activities.
Bob has a heart for service and has been a volunteer with the Boy Scouts for many years; Cub Scout Leader, Boy Scouts of America Scoutmaster, as well as serving on the Eagle Board of Review while living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Bob has been a volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse since 2011 with their U.S. Disaster Relief Division after wildfires destroyed thousands of acres of forest and homes in his home state of Texas in 2011. He’s pretty good with a chain saw.
Bob is an avid outdoorsman who has a love of God’s creation in the outdoors and enjoys backpacking and camping in the mountains, fly fishing for salmon in Alaska, stalking the high grass on the plains of South Africa, and everything in between.
He enjoys studying God’s word and has been a Bible Study Group leader. He looks for the best in every individual and encourages them to strive and achieve things they may believe improbable.
